In an idle moment I checked my email at lunch time today and found myself not a little astonished. It appears I’ve been nominated as a site finalist for the Diary Awards, First Quarter 1999!
Well you could have knocked me down with a wet haddock at the foot of our stairs. And here’s me on hiatus, too, with the website off-line and all.
After the initial panic, I hooked up and uploaded the newly re-vamped site. Then I zapped out the “I’m back! email.
I don’t suppose for a moment that I’ll win the actual award – the competition is much better than me. Even so, it’s a helluva compliment to be nominated at all, let alone to be counted in the finalists.
