Keep up, dear, do

I’ve got through my sleeping time and come out the other side with enough energy for my routine daily needs. That’s a blessing. Trailing somewhere behind my present state, however, dragging its heels like a reluctant child, is my motivation. Naughty motivation. Keep up, dear, do.

I’ve done several low-level maintenance jobs, like charging batteries, running off a few minutes of video recording on the video camera, and wandering around with the still camera, snapping stuff for the record. Nothing to display, just stuff for the record.

One of these days soon I shall take my copy of Adobe Premier Elements down from the shelf and install it on this computer so’s I can do some video work. That’s a big job, though, requiring motivation.  Naughty motivation. Keep up, dear, do.

And tomorrow, like it or not, motivated or not, I shall have to go out and shop for provisions. Either that or I shall have to live on brown sauce sandwiches and frozen peas. Haven’t even a single solitary egg in the fridge on which to base something creative.

Trouble is, you do rather need something in the way of a smear of motivation if you’re going to do something creative with an egg.  Naughty motivation. Keep up, dear, do.

It’s the dull weather you know.We need some sun soon.People are so miserable at the minute and it’s hard to be cheerful and motivated about anything.

Not a lot of sun today in gloomy Bridgwater I’m afraid, Maureen. I’m thinking of compensating for the dullness by calling in at the burger van by Focus on my way back from shopping and indulging my ’sausage-inna-bun’ instinct. Onions? Yes, please. Mustard? Yes, please. Sunshine? Oh, yes please, double, if that’s not too much trouble… :D

My dear husband went for his walk last night without an umbrella. He got to jog the last of it in the pouring down rain!

I put the flag out today, but it is cloudy. Wanna bet it rains again? :-)

It’s a good thing I don’t wait for Mr. Motivation to strike to get things done here. It that old charmer “Mr. Necessity” that makes things happen here – there no choice in the matter.

Just be glad you aren’t waiting to play an important (to you) match at Wimbledon. They must be going bonkers.

I certainly know the lack of motovation feeling.

    Alas.

Sounds like you need some more 4-packs of 88p beers, John.
Do folks in England, or Europe generally, eat peanut butter? I would be lost without it, and put it on EVERYTHING. (stop it! nothing like that, but, you know, toast, bagels, ice cream…)

Moti…WHAT? I’m afraid, I am shoved around by Mr. Necessity as well, and he doesn’t make too much of an effort either.

I know, we SHOULD count our blessings, for most of us neither live in a flooded area, nor in one with exessive heat or raging fires. But I for one could do with a few rays of sunshine for a few days in a row.

Willowy and dripping greetings from Hamburg, Satalya

Wet and cool sounds refreshing right now. Here in N. Idaho, the temp. in the shade is 100 degrees F., a record for the area. The southern U.S. A. is experiencing a killer heat wave too. Today, it’s expected to reach 122 F. in Arizona!!! I’m SO thankful for A/C!
