There’s no particular reason why I should have had one of those ‘I wanna run away and hide’ days, but it’s been that way with me today. With a vengeance.
It’s the depth of the winter nights here now, only eleven days to the shortest day. Sunrise is a couple of minutes after eight in the morning, and sunset very shortly after four in the afternoon. That makes for a long, long evening and night. And when, like today, it’s dull and drear and miserable outside, the day’s nothing special either.
There’s only one thing to do on a day like this and that’s to curl up on the sofa with a book and a large, dozy Mega-cat. Which is what I did.
