The Dolly Wakes

Thursday April 3, 2008

I flopped yesterday after my early morning adventure in Bridgwater.  Big time.  Woke somewhere around 1:30 in the afternoon with Graham yelling up the stairs:  “Is it lunch time yet?”

If it hadn’t been for Dolly stirring beside me and deciding that, before she got up, she needed a thorough self-grooming, I’d have taken another half-hour or so even then.

Duty called, though.  Stern mistress, duty.

    good morning!

  2. Good morning everyone! I can hear Dolly thinking, oh Gary, thanks for the compliment! 🙂

  3. morning! Hope your fully de-flopped today pet 🙂

Lovely dreamy quality to that pic of Dolly.

Yes, Dolly is gorgeous and I love the photo. Almost makes you want to stretch out alongside her and snooze away while she bathes.

  5. Ah Dolly and Chandler have something in common. Groom and wake their master. Though Chan choose to do that at 1:30 a.m. today!

  6. “If he’s going to wake me up with all that bellowing about lunch, you’re jolly well going to wake up, too.”

  7. Duty is indeed a stern mistress. I’ve so much to do yet find little ambition to do anything.

Dolly is such a lovely lass.

  8. Ah, the ineffable Dolly! Gorgeous lady. In that photo it would appear that Dolly might have encountered just the teensiest little wee tangle which must, of course, go! Highly unbefitting a lady of her worth and high station, and worse by far than any unobserved pea under her mattress, as well!
