Come out and play

Monday April 7, 2008

We had our ration of the current snowfall today.  It didn’t amount to much:

At one point I had the delight of standing outside in full sunshine, snow falling lightly on my shoulders.

“You,” said Graham from an upstairs window, “are totally nuts.”

“I take great pride in it.”

“Where’s Dolly?”

“Big softy refuses to come out and play.”

  1. First! We had about 7 inches of snow here and to have any snow is as rare as hens teeth!

  2. 🙂 Tell Graham you aren’t nuts until you try to build a snowman out of a little snow.

  3. May I address Her Majesty Dolly? Just wanted to say that as always it was a wise decision, just don’t let the humans talk you into things you neither need nor want! 🙂

  4. This made me smile. 🙂

  5. Wow. What a look of complete distain. I wouldn’t risk trying to put her outside.

    She knows she’s beautiful too.

  6. Snow keeps re-occurring here as well. It’s depressing.

Your garden is tiny but so very nice. I’m envious!

  7. Dolly is incredibly gorgeous! Wise feline that she is, she knew there wasn’t much point in bothering with such a minor amount of snow.

I, on the other hand, would have been standing right there beside you.

  8. How do you get your grass to look so lush?

  9. You’re welcome, John. I did my best to send snow your way. We’ve been completely hogging it this winter and it’s not fair. We had a gorgeous, sunny afternoon yesterday, up to 16C in our back yard.

  10. hoo hoo you can have all the snow you want!!!!!!!! har har……………
quite hot and sunny in northern NY right now, thanks….

  11. My first thought afer seeing your headline and then the picture, was “S that SNOW?’ in a deeply wondering voice. Can’t say I blame Dolly for not wanting to get her pretty feet wet and cold, not at all. Wise girl, that Dolly.

  12. So ya got some snow! Good for ya! hehe! A mere dusting, but it’s still snow.

Her Highness looks quite regal sitting there. I wonder what she’s really thinking?

  13. Much like our yard seems to be, day to day, including sun while snowing — sure beats the weather as it was in Illinois when we lived there.

  14. What a beautiful cat!
